What Is the Vulcan Wheel?

For the last century, wheelchairs have essentially been the same - a bicycle rim bolted on to a circular piece of tubing. The design was dictated not by user ergonomics but by limitations of the manufacturing processes of the day.

The Vulcan Wheel is an ergonomically designed mobility aid that consists of a combined wheel-rim and push-rim, extruded into a single-piece wheelchair wheel.
